i am 8 months old!

happy 8 month birthday to me 
things i like:
- climbing the stairs
- crawling around everywhere
- holding objects in my hand and sliding them along the ground as i crawl around
- standing up (still need to hold on to something for support)
- banging on everything
- having my tummy tickled
- chicken! (i haven’t tried steak yet)
- biting and chewing real food like a big boy
- babbling (“ba ba ba”)
- shrieking in a high-pitched tone (mommy calls it my pterodactyl screech, daddy says it’s my normal talking voice)
- kiddie foam pit
- jumpy house
things i don’t like:
- strangers holding me (however, i have a very good memory and am perfectly happy with people that i’ve met before, even if i haven’t seen them in a very long time)
- when mommy or daddy leaves me (separation anxiety has definitely set in)
- sippy cups (still don’t get it)
- kiddie ball pit

Happy Birthday Dude! Hope your parents feed you some steak for your birthday, unless you’re mom’s not letting you eat anything with eyelashes. :p

@logan: so far, mommy only has non-eyelash meals planned for me. maybe she’ll reward me with steak when i learn how to walk or wave bye-bye (those are my goals for this month!).
@auntie mimi: thank you for the birthday song! i always love hearing you sing, and i’m so happy that i got to see you last week

Hey Kyden….Happy 8 months!!!! My latest thing is clapping, have you gotten that down yet? So now when my mommy signs the If you Happy and You Know it song, I clap along…. I realize that these little things make my mommy happy… :O)

@matthew: nope, i’m not clapping yet. nobody ever taught me how. my mommy and daddy can’t agree on the lyrics to the “if you’re happy and you know it” song, so they stopped singing it. i would add clapping to my list of goals for this month, but i’ve already got my hands full trying to learn to walk and wave
